Virginia Gold #1 is a species of tobacco that originates from Virginia, United States.
This species is a hardier crossbreed from virginias that is more resistant to most common tobacco viruses.
Virginia Gold #1 is a higher yield plant than Virginia Gold and Virginia Dark.
This tobacco offers a beautiful tall columnar plant that rises to 7-8ft and produces over 20 usable high quality leafs.
It grows easy with low maintenance and it can adapt to almost all climatic conditions.
Virginia Gold #1 is one of the easiest plants to grow.
Use and Flavor:
Traditionally used as a pipe and cigarette tobacco.
Virginian tobaccos in general are the best choice for cavendish tobacco due to their high amount of sugars. This makes the tobacco naturally sweet and earthy.
Virginias are also used as chew tobacco where they are infused with syrups and sugars.
Growth:
This tobacco grows to 7-8 ft in high quality soils, the leaves it produces are >25″ and >15″ wide, and cure to a light brown color.
It is a high yield plant and it grows quickly in good soil and climatic conditions.
Ir produces bell like flowers with a white/pink tint at the pedal.
