Argentinean Sylvestris is a very unique tobacco originally from Argentina.
Sylvestris (commonly known as Flowering Tobacco) is usually used as an ornamental perennial plant due to its beautiful white long bell like flowers.
In the world of tobacco, Argentinean Sylvestris is also special. It produces a small leaf with a low total yield on its short body.
This tobacco is commonly used as shamanic, chew or pipe tobacco.
Use and Flavor:
Argentinean Sylvestris is traditionally a shamanic tobacco. It is rarely used for cigarette and pipe smoking due to its high content in nicotine and its bitter earthy taste make it a difficult tobacco to blend.
Sylvestris is, however, considered by many to be one of the most beautiful ornamental tobaccos – this is also its most common use.
This tobacco grows to 3-4 ft in high quality soils, the leaves it produces are >10″ and >6″ wide, and cure to a light yellow/brown color.
It is a low yield plant and it grows quickly in good soil and climatic conditions.
Ir produces long white bell like flowers.
Fast maturing plant – 40-50 days (flowering to harvest).
