Shirazi,
Shirazi is a rare strain of tobacco that originates from the Shiraz region of Persia.
This tobacco is a short low yield plant with small leaves that is considered an “oriental tobacco”.
Shirazi is traditionally sun cured to produce a light yellow leaf that is then aged and smoked in pipe tobacco and cigarettes.
Use and Flavor:
Shirazi is a tobacco that is used predominantly for pipe and cigarette blends.
Its small leaf, produces earthy and heavily spicy notes.
Shirazi has a low nicotine level.
Growth:
This tobacco grows to approximately 3-3.5 ft tall in high quality soils, the leaves it produces are heavy and cure to a light color.
It is a medium yield plant and it grows quickly in most soil and climatic conditions.
It produces intense pink flowers.
Plant matures and tobacco is ready to harvest in 40-50 days post transplant.
