Description
Little Dutch,
little Dutch is a rare tobacco whose origins are unclear. It is been said that this species has originated in Germany in the late 1880’s.
This tobacco has been predominantly used for cigar fillers and binders and for pipe tobacco blends.
Little Dutch is a short plant (ca 3-3.5ft) and produces small pointy leafs that cure to a nice light brown color.
Due to its low yield this plant it is rarely found in large number in fields.
Use and Flavor:
Little Dutch produces a medium/full body smoke with a woody, earthy and spicy note.
It has a medium sugar and nicotine content.
Growth:
This tobacco grows to approximately 3 ft tall in high quality soils, the leaves it produces are heavy and cure to a light color.
It is a medium yield plant and it grows quickly in most soil and climatic conditions.
It produces intense pink flowers.
Plant matures and tobacco is ready to harvest in 40-50 days post transplant.
