Costello,
Costello is a tobacco species originating from Columbia.It grows tall (ca6-6.5ft) and produces a light brown/red tobacco when properly cured. Originally, Costello is an air cured tobacco.
Use and Flavor:
Costello produces a medium/full body tobacco. It is widely used as pipe tobacco and for cigar filler. It produces a rich bright flavor, earthy and sweet while also a bit salty and spicy.
Growth:
This tobacco grows to approximately 6-7Â ft in high quality soils, the leaves it produces are heavy and cure to a light brown color.
It is a high yield plant and it grows quickly in most soil and warm climatic conditions.
It produces intense pink flowers.
Plant matures and tobacco is ready to harvest in 40-50 days post transplant.
